ABOUT BOG LINE

Bog Line was founded when Nick Ince and Will Rempel couldn’t find a quality smoker to rent in Canada and decided to build their own. What began as a one-time project quickly became a full-time business, now known as Canada’s premier builder of traditional-style smokers and open-pit grills. Each smoker is precision-designed for proper airflow, even cooking, and long-lasting durability, balancing performance with clean, timeless aesthetics. Taking a personalized approach to every build, Bog Line Smokers creates versatile units for restaurants and backyard pitmasters alike, using live fire and hardwood to support authentic barbecue and help grow the barbecue scene in Canada and beyond.

Most campfire pits are not ideal for cooking. This one is. Give you room to keep and maintain a fire out front and move it back to cook as needed. Grill clips in at different heights. Maybe add a rotisserie to the front!? 🤷‍♂️

Moving 1000 gallons out isn’t always easy, but we have a system. This one is for @wills.bbq all the way in Germany! This is their 4th smoker and 6th unit overall! Crazy!

1000 gallon for @wills.bbq I’m Germany! Getting 4 weights over an almost 20 foot is no easy task. We clamp them up in a HD angle iron to keep them all on the same trajectory. Quick pie slice and lean them back. How do you keep them straight? Be careful up there! A friend was building one of these and fell off. Bad situation. @fumo.bbq

You guys have been asking. We listened. Here is our prototype for a backyard pit. Going also some testing and if we are happy with it, it will go into production. Stay tuned. Suggest a name for the backyard model in the comments!

We are deeply grateful to everyone who came out to support our event. A heartfelt thanks to our amazing community, our dedicated volunteers, and the incredible BBQ teams who poured countless hours into crafting that delicious wood-smoked BBQ. Ever had beef lengua? Don’t know what that is? It’s beef tongue. While in Texas we cooked brined pastrami tongue from @44farms with @b4barbeque as one of the dishes for @troubadourfest Although unusual this was amazing! Outside the box bbq! It was made into a Ruben on tallow smoked rye bread, course mustard, house sauce and bulls blood. Really good bite.

Just rolled back home from an epic Texas adventure! We delivered a pit to Nolan and Emily at @b4barbecue, then brought the heat to @troubadourfest in College Station, cooking alongside Texas’ BBQ legends. 🔥 Dream come true! The platter from B4? Hands-down one of the best meals we’ve ever had. 🍖 The Belchers’ hospitality was unmatched, and working the @meatchurch booth with our gear felt surreal for two Canadian pit builders. 🇨🇦 Grateful for every moment—huge thanks to all! Smoker builder question, does radius corners in the door cuts help keep shape? We have traditionally gone with 90 degrees, now going to a radius. So far so good. Do you guys add a radius? Does it matter? Does it help? What size radius?

When @darksideofthegrill calls looking for a 1000 gallon with a Hotrod Horror theme we knew what to do. This build was fun yet challenging.
